Two autumn retreats behind us: this was our October on Fuerteventura
Yoga Amigas ·

Our autumn retreats on Fuerteventura are over. Two groups, two weeks and so much good energy. I am sitting here with a coffee, and I want to tell you about them. Not to show off, but so you know what it is really like, in case you are wondering whether to come one day.
And this season is not over yet. Two more autumn retreats on Fuerteventura are still ahead of us, both fully booked, and in December we go to Marrakech.
What a day on the retreat looks like
The days are simple. And that is exactly why they work so well.
- In the morning there is yoga, calm and unhurried. We start with the breath and wake the body up slowly.
- Then a long breakfast. Nobody looks at the clock.
- During the day you have time for yourself: the ocean, the beach, a book, a nap or a walk around Corralejo.
- In the evening there is a second practice or a dinner together, where we laugh a lot.
You do not have to prove anything. You do not have to be "good at yoga". It is enough to come as you are.

Small groups, real conversations
Our groups are small. So at the start of the week you are still strangers, and by the end you are friends who do not want to say goodbye. Many women come on their own and feel a little scared at first. That is completely normal. Usually after two or three days the fear is gone, because there is so much warmth around.

What stays after a week like this
Many of you tell me similar things:
- that you finally got enough sleep,
- that your phone stopped being the most important thing,
- that your body remembered what it feels like to be light,
- that you want to go home and change something.
For me this is the most beautiful part of this work. Not the photos, not the views, but the quiet change in women who go back to their lives a little calmer.
Why autumn on Fuerteventura is so good
In autumn the ocean is still warm and the sun is pleasant, not tiring. In much of Europe the days get grey and short, but here you can still have breakfast outdoors. It is a really good moment to recharge before winter. You can read more about the weather month by month in our post on when to go to the Canaries and Morocco.
Thank you
Thank you to every one of you who was with us. Thank you for your trust, for your openness and for creating such a beautiful atmosphere. It is thanks to you that these retreats are what they are.
A big hug, Zuza
