Your body does not lie 🌿

Since I arrived in Berlin, I’ve been looking back at my last few months and returning deeply to my own practice. This topic keeps coming back to me, which is why I want to share it with you.
Maybe you need to hear this today too.

There is a kind of tiredness that sleep cannot cure.
You know what I mean. That feeling when you wake up after eight hours and you’re already exhausted. When the to-do list starts before your feet even touch the floor. When someone asks “how are you?” and you answer “fine, thank you”, because explaining the truth would take too long.
This tiredness has many names. The tiredness of being needed. The tiredness of pretending you’re coping. The tiredness of being strong, when really you just want to sit down on the floor and do nothing.
Yoga has taught me, and keeps teaching me, one thing that changed everything: the body does not lie.
You can convince your mind that everything is okay. You can smile in meetings, reply to messages, cook dinner. But when you lie down on your mat in child’s pose, forehead resting on the ground: that’s when your body tells you the truth. It tells you where you really are.
And that is not weakness. That is courage.
Allowing yourself to feel how tired you truly are: that is the first step toward real rest. Not the kind of rest with your phone in your hand, not “productive relaxation” with a podcast playing. Rest that is simply… being.
Tonight, if you can, lie down on the floor. Not on your mat, not with an intention. Just on the floor. Close your eyes. Breathe. Feel the weight of your own body.

You are enough. Even now, when you are tired.
With love,
Zuza 🌿
